I have to say the manufacturer has done an excellent job of attaining goals while not unduly compromising other areas of performance and staying within their targeted price point.. ..please find an opportunity to audition them in person, they may be just what you are looking for. |

HE 2007 Show report I'd seen the Bolzano Villetri Torre BV HF 3005 at last year's CEDIA Expo, but I was felled by bugs in the spinach and BV was hobbled by a display area in the corridor in front of the convention center's main space. |

Bolzano Villetri Campanili Series Torre 'Round the World in 360 DaysGot a favorite loudspeaker? We all have. I had a torrid love affair with the MBL 101 some ten years ago while working in a high-end shop in lower Manhattan. The sonic landscapes these omni-directional loudspeakers were capable of have never been equaled in other designs; I’d never heard another design light up a room left to right, forward and back as these masters of soundstage did when paired with their own electronics. The secrets of home theater and high fidelity Bolzano Villetri is an Italian speaker company, and I jumped at the chance to review a pair of their products, because the Italians build some of the most exquisite cabinetry in the world. The engineering comes from Russia, but they are built in Italy.
Their speakers are of the equipolar variety, with the sound coming out of the enclosure center, in 3600 fashion, sort of like the equator around our planet.
You can see from the photo above that the model they sent to me, the BV HF3003 Campanile Piazzettta, is truly beautiful (the photo shows the 3003 on the left and a 3005 on the right). The finish appears to be quarter sawn mahogany, with about a dozen hand rubbed coats of polyurethane. Gorgeous! |

HE2006: Bolzano Villetri Will it come as any surprise that Bolzano Villetri is Italian? The curves, the wood, the audio insanity. Yup, Italian all the way.
Bolzano Villetri rocks omni speakers much talked about on these pages. Be sure to check out the rest of the article for close-ups of the drivers, they're pretty wild. Upward and downward firing woofers and tweets send sound in every direction. More... |
